*Enjoying Winter* It's been a while since I regularly updated

Enjoying Winter

It's been a while since I regularly updated this. I've just begun a hiatus of Facebook, Myspace, etc. Life has been crazy in many ways with work, class, life, etc...

Yet, creative me has to have SOME outlet. Thankfully, not many people read this anymore due to my own lack of updates. So, while it gets crankin' again I won't need to feel rushed to fix it in the little bit of time I have.

Enjoying winter, though I know it's "technically" not the season of Winter right now. I read in a book recently, about how the spiritual season of winter is a time of letting go. Yet, you have to let go of the dead leaves, so you can raise your arms free to praise God. Empty you may be, but in time, God will bring Spring in your life. Who wants a bunch of dead leaves anyways...

In honor of letting some things go, so God can finally work some NEW stuff in my life, thought I'd share this poem. I used to keep all my writing anonymous, but decided it's time for some changes in how I do things ;)

Winter

Will you kiss my soul,
And set me free
Break the bonds
Of my captivity.
囚禁
A shadow long has passed
O’er the fragments of my soul
You touch, a steady beam of light
The Son is what I need.

I tried to hide the pieces
Tucked away inside of me
Clinging to the brokenness
It was all that I could see.

But now the last leaf is falling
I’m laying it down to rest
For it’s in the winter graveyard
That life can start afresh.
